Recently we had our Board of trustees meeting and elected the 
new chair and members to BOT for the year 2006. Also we elected members of 
the executive committee.

We are a group of people around Fort Myers, Florida, who are interested in keeping the spirit of Hinduism alive for this generation and many more to come!

At left is a clay Ganesha made by Sunil & Bharti Lalla for Ganesh Chaturthi.  Children have also made smaller Ganeshas to be used in Pooja on September 5th.  See more pictures in our Activities page and also steps for making Ganeshas.
The Temple
For 15 years, the Hindus in Fort Myers have met together for bhajan and respected each other’s beliefs. We sing Bhajans in all languages, chant all the saints’ names and follow necessary customs as in covering our head when the Guru Granth Sahib is present. We feel that a real Hindu is one who respects all religious practices. We hope the Temple we are planning to build will exemplify this unity in diversity.

Six Ds to follow:
Dedication of all activities to God.
Devotion to God.
Discipline to regulate life.
Discernment to know what is right.
Determination to build a Temple!
Desire to contribute to the Temple!

• Phase II – Preparation of property, Fundraising & Designing Prayer Hall with Kitchen & Bathrooms – 2004
• Phase III – Prayer hall construction – 2005
• Phase IV – Designing of Temple & Fundraising – 2006-2009
• Phase V – Temple construction - 2010
• Phase VI – Assisted Living Facility and Auditorium.
